Robe Review: Montana Robe Company

Big Sky Robe from Montana Robe Company

I live in Los Angeles and there aren’t many days of the year that a cold-weather robe is needed. However, I’ve been eyeing The Montana Robe Company’s robes for a while. As things start to return to normal post-pandemic, I wanted to have robe I could take with me when we go on vacations to cold climates or back home to the Midwest. We recently went to Seward, Alaska and stayed in a cabin where the temperature reached temperatures in the low 40s. The Big Sky Robe from The Montana Robe Company seemed perfect for getting cozy and reading a book on the cabin’s porch during a chilly evening.

Handmade With Care

If you clicked the link above, the first thing that might stand out is the price. Yes, it’s pricier than a robe you’d get at most department stores, but hear me out. For starters, these robes are handmade and carefully crafted. They arrive in a box wrapped with a bow and a card. They are double lined — flannel on the outside and your choice of lining for the inside. Whether it’s a bath or shower, there’s something extra comfy about putting on a double lined robe afterwards. If you’ve ever tried a spa robe, you know exactly what I’m talking about 😉 Another reason to spend the extra money on this robe is it comes with a lifetime guarantee and free repairs. What robe of yours has that?!

I chose the mink fleece lining and I can’t even describe how soft it is! I wish Montana Robe’s site had some close up pics of the lining because it is unbelievable soft and cozy. In lieu of that, I’ve shared a close up picture on our Pajama Blog Instagram. I honestly want to do more cold weather trips–or dare I say, move to a cold climate, just to wear this robe more often. Until that happens, I’ll put on some snowy YouTube videos and blast the fan on me while I curl up in this robe.

About a week after I received the robe, I got a hand-addressed and signed card thanking me for my order. The care and service spent on each robes makes me want to sing Montana Robe’s praises from the mountaintop. Except I’m not a singer, so this blog post will have to do. I’m definitely going to be purchasing at least one more robe as a gift (person will be not named incase they read this).
