Keep Calm This Election Day with Anxiety Relieving Products

Calming Products Recommended for Election Day

No matter who you voted for (or have yet to vote for), there’s no doubt that anxiety and tensions will be running high on Election Day and the week(s) after until we have results. Like many of you, I’ve already been anxious about the election results. Without many options to go out and take our minds off politics; having a cozy and calm home is incredibly important. I’ve made a list of the stress-relieving and calming items I’ll use on Election Day and until we receive the election results.

Stress Relieving Scents

I love getting candles from TJ Maxx and Homegoods, but sometimes more expensive candles have more complex scents that can be really calming. The candles I’ll be using this week are:

UR Bane’s Birch & Tobacco. I got this candle at TJ Maxx and I love how warm and inviting it smells.

P.F. Candle’s Sunset Collection for a complex scent that reminds me of the awesomeness of Los Angeles and the West Coast.

Calm Bath and Grooming Products

I love bath products with menthol and tea tree, and I love Jack Black’s Face Buff exfoliator for men. My skin always feels refreshed when I use this before a shave and then apply Face Moisturizer.

If you’ve got the time for a bath, Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath takes your bath a new level with bubbles. Available in many different varieties, you can choose the scent you like the best. But I like the Dr. Teal’s Relax & Relief with Ecuplytis and Spearmint. If you want a bath soak, you can also try Molton Brown’s Bath Salts.

Calm Cozy Pajamas

I’ve already written a review of the Gravity Weighted Robe, and I’ll be wearing it this week to help reduce anxiety. Because I live in Southern California, I’ll be pairing the robe with a lighter weight pajama set from Sleepy Jones. The Sleepy Jones Henry Pajama Set is blue, so it’s also a little patriotic 🙂 .

If you’re in a cold climate, I recommend an onesie.

Lastly, I recommend keeping your feet cozy and warm with either some home boots, like ones from Peter Alexander or some Cozy Socks.

Keep Calm and Stay Awake With A Warm Beverage

If wine isn’t your thing, try a hot beverage to help soothe you and stay awake for election night coverage. I’ve already covered the basics of a cappuccino.

Remember that we will not have final results right away so it’s important to be mindful of your emotions and keep calm. The products I’m recommending may not be proven to reduce anxiety, but should help keep you cozy and in a good mood.
