I’m a sucker for a plush fluffy robe, but living in Los Angeles, it’s sometimes too hot even in the morning or in summer nights for such a robe. Not to mention, when I travel those can be bulky to pack. I needed something lighter for summer lounging when we don’t have the AC on or when I want to sit on our patio.
I only had one robe suitable for the summer heat and it’s not super cozy. It’s a thin cotton robe with a festive pattern lends itself better to a pool coverup than everyday wear. I found the Daniel Buchler Heathered Knit Robe and ordered.
Overall I like the robe and I would recommend it. It’s a little flimsy so be extra careful that it doesn’t open up if you are with anyone, or wear a shirt under. The only other downside is the tie is a little on the long side so I have to tie it with a loop as if I were tying my shoe. Tying it this way also helps the robe from opening up as the knit tie is a little slippery too. Its knit fabric allows it to breathe keeping you cool this summer while remaining stylish. 😉
